Readiness Survey for Healthcare Providers

Jun 25, 2024

The Virginia Bureau of Insurance has requested that the VDA and other healthcare organizations survey their members on healthcare provider readiness for a new requirement regarding Electronic Prior Authorization and Real-Time Prescription Benefit Information and Prescription Drugs.

Please take a few minutes to complete this important survey. Virginia is on track to require electronic prior authorization for medications, which is scheduled to become effective July 1, 2025. Your responses will help the Virginia Bureau of Insurance assess healthcare provider readiness and determine if legislation is necessary to extend the effective date. The survey questions are related to ensuring the ability of provider e-prescribing or electronic health record systems to access the ELECTRONIC PRIOR AUTHORIZATION (“ePA”) process established by carriers and REAL-TIME PRESCRIPTION BENEFIT (“RTPB”) information.

All survey responses must be submitted no later than July 31, 2024. Thank you in advance for your participation!
