VDA Member Dr. Kirk Norbo Installed as ADA Trustee
Kirk M. Norbo, D.M.D., a dentist practicing in Purcellville, Virginia, was recently installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Norbo’s installation took place in Denver, Colorado, at the ADA’s 157th Annual Meeting.
Dr. Norbo will serve on the ADA Board of Trustees as the trustee from the Sixteenth District, which encompasses North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The ADA Board of Trustees formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA’s governing body, the House of Delegates. As a member of the ADA Board of Trustees, Dr. Norbo will play a major role in the organization’s objective of being America’s leading advocate for oral health.
Dr. Norbo has been an ADA member since 1983 and currently serves on the ADA Bylaws Review Taskforce and as a delegate. He has been an active member of the Virginia Dental Association and was its president in 2012-2013. Dr. Norbo is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and he serves as an adjunct faculty member at the VCU School of Dentistry.
Dr. Norbo graduated from the Oral Roberts University School of Dentistry in 1983, and has been in private practice since 1984. He’s an active member of his community, a Mason and serves on the board of Southern States Cooperative Inc. in Purcellville.
