Tell Congress to Act for Your Patients
Beginning June 1, 2016, the Affordable Care Act will require all dentists who prescribe to Medicare Part D beneficiaries to be enrolled as Medicare providers.
If this rule is allowed to take effect, all of us will have to choose between repetitive, unnecessary compliance cost and protecting our patients.
Last week, Congressmen Kenny Marchant (R-TX) and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) introduced H.R. 4062, the Protecting Seniors Access to Proper Care Act, which exempts dentists and other non-physicians who write prescriptions for Part D beneficiaries from the enrollment mandate. This legislation is good for dentists, and our patients. Thousands of your colleagues wrote their Members of Congress to urge them to support H.R. 4062.
Add your voice today, take action today and urge your Congressman to co-sponsor H.R. 4062 to tear down the barriers to quality care for our senior patients and allow our members to continue prescribing necessary medication to their Medicare beneficiary patients.
Thank you for your continued action and support!
