New 2020 Survey of Dental Fees Available
In the 2020 Survey of Dental Fees, specialists and general dentists recorded fees they charged most often for 268 dental procedures. Released in November, the 2020 Survey provides readers with an analysis of self-reported fees by procedure from a nationwide random sample of dentists. A PDF of the fee survey, which includes the survey methodology, can be downloaded and saved once accessed for free by ADA members or purchased by nonmembers.

Issues, Questions, Concerns, and Workarounds
How have dentists been impacted by doning enhanced PPE during the pandemic? The on-demand webinar, “COVID-19 PPE and Me: Issues, Questions, Concerns, and Workarounds,” shares dentists’ perspectives on common challenges. Recorded in November 2020, the moderator, Dr. Manish Chopra, led a discussion on improving dentist’s comfort and reducing injury risks.
Practice Management Podcast Launches Third Season
The ADA recently launched the third season of its podcast Beyond the Mouth. Hosted by Dr. Elizabeth “Betsy” Shapiro, an ADA Practice Institute director, the eight-episode season presents stories that all dentists can relate to—from managing student loan debt to buying and selling a practice. Other topics include retaining staff, wellness, and ergonomics. Listen to Beyond the Mouth on Apple iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher, and other streaming services.
Rule on Overtime Pay for Salaried Employees (UPDATED)
Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, the salary threshold for the U.S. Department of Labor’s final rule on overtime pay for nonexempt salaried employees was updated in 2020. The ADA updated its article “Overtime Rule Extends Pay to Additional Salaried Employees” to include current information for dentists with employees. The article also answers members’ frequently asked questions.
