I am seeking an Associate opportunity in the Northern Virginia area to begin immediately. As a graduate from the University of Mississippi’s DMD program and as a Chief Resident from the University of Mississippi’s GPR program, I have over twelve years of professional experience as a dentist and have a well-rounded blend of clinical and managerial skills to contribute to the success of the dental practice. Due to my husband obtaining a Career Service position within the Department of State headquarters, I am committed to relocating to the Northern Virginia area to serve the health care needs of my local community.
My experience enables me to comfortably triage and diagnose patients’ needs and articulate those needs to the patients in a systematic, concise treatment plan which instills confidence and trust in the clients. I promote preventive care and utilize conservative restorative techniques when appropriate. I have extensive training in oral surgery and pediatrics. Additionally, my experience includes rotary endodontics (anterior and premolar), periodontics, and prosthetics (removable and fixed). I am continually seeking new methods and continuing education to hone in my clinical skills and always have a willingness to learn.
My work experience includes being an assistant professor (part-time 2 years), a solo practice owner (6 years), and a government employee (5 years); therefore, I have extensive managerial skills. I foster cooperative teamwork in the work environment and adapt well to change. I systematically analyze problems to develop options in resolving underlying causes which alleviates conflict and aids in promoting uninterrupted patient flow as well as a positive work environment.
My professional goals include immediately relocating to the Northern Virginia area and working in a dental practice where I can be a contributing, valuable team-member as well as serve the community. I am looking to establish a committed, long-term professional relationship within the practice because my family does not plan to move; rather, we plan on making Northern Virginia our home.
